Wedo LX wick is a high quality wick made in Germany. LX wick is one of Wedo’s simplest, yet most popular wicks. LX wicks are lead and zinc free.

LX wick is a specially braided flat wick which maintains a slight curl when burning. The curl moves the tip of the wick into the hottest part of the flame, which helps to minimize or eliminate carbon buildup (mushrooming), reduce smoking, and provide a ‘self-trimming’ effect, which creates a very stable and consistent flame.

    Description

    LX wick is a flat braided cotton wick with a rigid structure for easy pouring. Compared to other wicks, this wick burns with a tighter controlled flame that makes it the best wick for paraffin waxes. Great for paraffin containers, pillars and votives, the consistent flame helps ensure that glass containers don’t overheat on one side and that pillars don’t ‘tunnel’ or leak out the side of the candle.

    This size chart is a rough guide – different waxes, fragrance and colours all effect the wicking of the candle. The candle diameters listed are suggestions based on standard results. They should be taken as a starting point for testing purposes only, as burning rates may well differ due to variations between different candle systems. Trial and error is the only way to ensure correct wicking.
